Five Finger Death Punch Sidelined

Five Finger Death Punch won’t be supporting Black Sabbath’s April run across Australia.  Blame the change of plans on singer Ivan Moody’s ending up in the hospital.

Not only did Five Finger Death Punch snag the very envious spots of warming up the crowds for one of metal’s most famous bands, but the group also had headlining shows planned for Melbourne and Sydney.

But the fickle finger of fate had other plans.  Live Nation announced that Moody was hospitalized in Denver last Thursday. Although no specific malady was mentioned in the message, the promotion company says he is expected to make a complete recovery.

The Black Sabbath shows will go on as planned.  Fans holding tickets to Five Finger Death Punch’s headlining gigs will be contacted “by the relevant ticketing outlet to advise of the process for obtaining a refund.”

Five Finger Death Punch’s next scheduled performance is April 30 at the Monster Energy Fort Rock festival in Fort Myers, Fla.
