Paul McCartney announces a gig in St. Louis and a headline appearance at Milwaukee’s Summerfest. Meanwhile, Garth Brooks books his first-ever show in Grand Rapids.

The latest editions to Paul McCartney’s “One On One” tour mark his first confirmed summer dates in the U.S. The trek kicks off April 13 in Fresno, Calif., at the Save Mart Center. After playing Seattle, Vancouver, North Little Rock, Sioux Falls and Minneapolis this spring, the former Beatle is scheduled to head to Europe, starting with a May 28 show in Dusseldorf, Germany.

McCartney returns to the States July 8 to play Summerfest. An announcement on his website notes that the performance at Milwaukee’s Marcus Amphitheatre will be his sole U.S. festival appearance of 2016. The St. Louis show takes place Aug. 13 at Busch Stadium.

American Express is holding a presale for Milwaukee that begins April 12 at 10 a.m.

Garth Brooks fans who reside in the Mitten State won’t want to miss this show. Brooks says his Grand Rapids gig – his first ever in the city – will be his only Michigan appearance of the year.

Mark your calendars for May 14. The time and place is Van Andel Arena at 7 p.m.
