Jane’s Addiction Sets ‘Sterling Spoon Anniv.’ Dates

Jane’s Addiction will celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Ritual de lo Habitual” with the “Sterling Spoon Anniversary Tour,” featuring Dinosaur Jr. appearing on all shows and Living Colour on select dates.

Released in August 1990, Jane Addiction’s second album on Warner Bros. includes the band’s Grammy-nominated single “Been Caught Stealing” along with tracks such as “Three Days,” “Then She Did …,” “Stop!” and “Classic Girl.”

How much time will Jane’s Addiction devote to the album? Word from the band’s rep is that Perry Farrell & Co. “will perform songs spanning their entire catalog, with a special nod to Ritual de lo Habitual within each show’s setlist.”

The tour follows the band’s festival gigs planned from May through June and including Atlanta’s Shaky Knees; Download gigs in France and England; and Madrid’s “Mad Cool.” Jane’s Addiction is also on Lollapalooza’s July 30 lineup.

Here’s the plan:

July 15 – Brooklyn, N.Y., The Amphitheater At Coney Island Boardwalk
July 16 – Asbury Park, N.J., Stone Pony Summer Stage
July 19 – Boston, Mass., Blue Hills Bank Pavilion
July 20 – Philadelphia, Pa., The Fillmore Philadelphia
July 22 – Sterling Heights, Mich., Freedom Hill Amphitheatre
July 23 – Cleveland, Ohio, Jacobs Pavilion At Nautica

Living Colour appears July 19-23.
