The venue, which is actually a church, started staging concerts five years ago. Since then, the likes of Bloc PartyFlorence + The Machine and Daughter have played concerts there.

Coldplay launched its latest album there in December. Upcoming events include Frightened Rabbit (April 14), Rufus Wainwright (April 25) and  (May 5).

“St John-at-Hackney might be over 200 years old but as a venue we are still at the relatively early stages of an incredibly exciting journey and being based in Hackney our program often features some of the newest trends,” said Katharine Walters, St John-at-Hackney’s venue director. “The TicketWeb team is ever friendly, helpful and available to me, providing an excellent service to both myself and my clients.”

Sam Isles, Managing Director of TicketWeb, said he was “delighted” to work with such a historic building.
