The July 22 kick-off follows Counting Crows’ run through Europe.  Adam Duritz & Co. will play Royal Park Live in Amsterdam July 9; Bospop in Weert, Netherlands, July 10; Carroponte in Milan July 13 and Teatro D’Annunzio in Pescara, Italy July 14.  The band will also appear at Rome’s Rock In Roma headlined by Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band at Circus Maximus July 16.

Matchbox 20 frontman Rob Thomas is touring in support of his 2015 album, The Great Unknown.  The LP includes the single “Hold On Forever” as well as the soon-to-be-released “Pieces.”

Of course, a tour featuring this much talent requires not one, but two quotes from the artists involved.  First up is Duritz.

“Twenty years ago Rob and I were like kids running around Italy in the middle of the night getting drunk and playing gigs,” the Counting Crows frontman said.  “I still love nothing more than touring with my friends.  This is going to be a great summer.”

Next is Thomas.

“Music is about good friends getting together and celebrating live,” Thomas said.  “Our fans are going to be doing that in the audience and we will be doing that on stage as well.  Bring on the summer!”
