Currently in the midst of a spring tour, the band has a number of shows booked for April and then hits the road again, motoring all around the country in July and August.

The summer dates include a number of festivals including in Buena Vista, Colo., and  in Mount Solon, N.C.

Some of the notable venues on the itinerary are Nashville, Tenn.’s  in the spring and the  in the band’s hometown of Los Angeles, Calif., Aug. 9 and 10.

A show at the  in Newport, R.I. will feature Middle Brother, guitarist/vocalist Taylor Goldsmith’s collaboration with John McCauley of Deer Tick and Matthew Logan Vasquez.

Brothers Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith and Wylie Gelber teamed up to form Dawes in 2007 after the collapse of the indie band Simon Dawes, focusing on a more folksy sound. While Simon Dawes never found commercial success, a thoughtful listener can hear the musical foundations being laid in that group that give Dawes its indie edge, distinguishing it from other genre staples.

Dawes also plans to release an album in 2016, following up to 2015’s All Your Favorite Bands.

Support acts on the band’s tour will include The Lone Bellow, Matthew Logan Vasquez and , but different shows will feature different openers, so if you are expecting a specific band to play with Dawes, be sure to check beforehand.
