Paul McCartney Keeps Adding Shows

Although Paul McCartney’s latest adventure opened last night in Fresno, the former Beatle is still adding shows to his “One On One Tour.”  Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Hershey, Pa.; and E. Rutherford, N.J., are now on his summer plans.

McCartney and his talent-packed band walked on stage to greet a sold-out crowd at the Save Mart Center last night and immediately launched into “Hard Day’s Night.”  Memories kept on coming in a set list that included plenty of Wings and Beatles classics as well as choice selections from McCartney’s decades-long solo career.

“McCartney smoothly went from piano to ukulele to bass to acoustical guitar running through crowd favorites like ‘Fool on the Hill’ and ‘Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da,’” wrote the Fresno Bee’s Rick Bentley.  “He never left the stage for water or a break, except after the crowd pleasing ‘Hey Jude’ that ended the regular part of the show and before his encore of six tunes ranging from the melodic ‘Yesterday’ to the jamming ‘Birthday.’”

And the tour keeps on growing.  Newly added shows are July 10 at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati; July 12 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia; July 19 at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pa., and MetLife Stadium in E. Rutherford, N.J., Aug. 7.

Presales for Cincinnati begin today and the general onsale starts April 18.  Presales for Philadelphia, Hershey and E. Rutherford commence April 18 and the general onsales open April 22.  Go to PaulMcCartney.com for more details.
