Goldenvoice, AEG Working For Legendary Lineup?

A deal that would book rock icons Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, The Who and Roger Waters all on a single stage over a weekend is nearing completion, according to sources close to the Los Angeles Times

Goldenvoice and AEG are reportedly negotiating with band management for performances at a new festival at the  in Indio, Calif., Oct. 7-9. The Times said artists’ management confirmed plans are almost set, although employees of AEG and Goldenvoice cannot speak publicly on the matter until negotiations have concluded.

The festival would span three nights on one stage, with Dylan and the Stones playing Oct. 7, Young and McCartney on Oct. 8, and the Who and Roger Waters on Oct. 9, according to the Times.

The acts named have never performed together at a single event, and the closest comparable show in classic-rock star power would be 1985’s Live Aid benefit concert.

Goldenvoice was in the midst of preparing for Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival at press time and was assumedly unable to offer a comment on the matter.
