Brad Paisley’s Funny Business
Of course, hosting funny people such as Jon Reep, Sarah Tiana and Mike E. Winfield at Zanies Comedy Club May 16 involves more than just belting out “Here’s … whomever.” Chances are Paisley will joke around, play the straight man and generally interact with the punch-line purveyors. Showtime is 8:30 p.m. Tickets for the Paisley-hosted show go on sale April 22 via the festival’s website.
Paisley’s comedy stint is just one night of the weeklong Wild West Comedy Festival running May 15-22. Happening at various Nashville venues and featuring Chris Tucker, Jeff Foxworthy, Trevor Noah, Kathy Griffin plus many others, the fest just added T.J. Miller and Tom Green to the lineup.
The funny stuff begins with an attempt to break the Guinness World Records title for Longest Stand-Up Comedy Show. Starring multiple comedians, the show is expected to run the length of the festival. Nashville-based comic DJ Buckley is the brains behind the record-shattering effort.
