Ascend Amphitheatre May Ban Smoking
Cigarette smoking may be banned at the Ascend Amphitheatre in Nashville, Tenn., as the venue begins its second season of concerts.

An ordinance reportedly supported by Metro Councilman Dave Rosenberg would disallow smoking anywhere. The 6,000-capacity outdoor venue originally allowed smoking everywhere until a policy was enforced to limit smoking to only three areas, according to the Tennessean.
The paper reported the council is considering the ordinance and if approved, the ban will go into effect July 1. The venue is owned by Metro government and managed by Live Nation.
