Bayside Powering Through North American Shows

Punk-alternative rockers Bayside will be rumbling across the U.S. with a series of shows in August and September, bringing along The Menzingers and Sorority Noise for the ride.

The dates start in Florida and head north along the East Coast, then west and finally southward, with the tour closing in Nashville Sept. 18. The schedule includes one performance in Canada, with a Toronto gig planned for Aug. 25 at .

A number of the planned dates are festivals, which will have Bayside playing alongside the likes of Mxpx and Dinosaur Jr.

Bayside has a power-chord rock style a la Jimmy Eat World and Alkaline Trio, the latter of whom they have toured with. The New York natives distinguish themselves with harmonizing vocals and personal lyrical themes from lead vocalist and guitarist .

The band has been around since 2000 and has maintained the current membership for the last ten years. Its most recent recorded album,2013’s Cult, was recorded in light of Raneri’s relocation to Nashville and marriage to his first wife, whom he has since divorced.

Vacancy, the band’s upcoming album, deals with themes of disappointment and estrangement, and was the group’s first project written remotely, with the quartet now scattered across the country.
