Bus Owner Sues Weiland’s Estate
A Tennessee man filed a lawsuit against late Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland’s estate for damage to his rental bus.

Daniel Smagacz filed the claim in Los Angeles Superior Court alleging that Weiland shot the vehicle up with BB guns and cut electrical wires causing $50,000 worth of damage to the bus Smagacz leased to Weiland’s Flaming Music Production in July 2013, according to NY Daily News.
The paper states that Weiland signed a contract that held him responsible for all damage or loss to the bus for the 20-date tour. Instead of following through, the suit says Weiland was “grossly negligent and acted with intentional and willful misconduct by damaging the coach tour bus.”
Weiland died from an accidental drug overdose in December. His body was found on another bus while on tour with the Wildabouts in Minnesota. He was 48.
