Festival Noize: Carolina Rebellion, Bumbershoot, Hard Summer, Forecastle

Carolina Rebellion gives you times and stages for every act … Macklemore & Ryan Lewis among headliners gracing Seattle’s Bumbershoot … Ice Cube, Pretty Lights and Flosstradamus on California’s Hard Summer … Louisville’s Forecastle announces late night shows.

May 6-8 is when rock fans will gather at the Rock City Campgrounds at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C.,  for performances from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Scorpions, 3 Doors Down, Sixx:A.M., Alice Cooper, Disturbed and Rob Zombie.  Now organizers are giving you the lay of the land by distributing the festival’s performance times and stages.

The Rebellion opens its gates at 6:30 p.m. May 5 and will present a campground party for early arrivals.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Death Cab For Cutie, KYGO and Tame Impala are just some of the names lighting up the poster for Seattle’s annual fest.

Boasting more than a dozen indoor and outdoor stages on its 74-acre festival site that includes KeyArena and Memorial Stadium, Bumbershoot will also host G Eazy, Pretty Lights, Halsey, DJ Snake, Porter Robinson, Zeds Dead, Bryson Tiller, , Run The Jewels, Billy Idol, Fetty Wap and many others.

Speaking of Macklemore, the rapper will throw out the first pitch at Safeco Field April 29 during “Bumbershoot Night.”  Fans who buy tickets to the special Bumbershoot section in the ballpark that evening will receive a Mariners T-shirt commemorating the festival.

Southern California’s moves from its 2015 Pomona location to the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. 

Ice Cube, Major Lazer, Flosstradamus and Dillon Francis are among the notables appearing on the July 30-31 event.  The lineup also includes Claude VonStroke, Travis Scott, Boys Noize, DJ Mustard, Baauer, Ty Dolla $ign and more.

Fans visiting the Hard Events website were greeted by a log-in screen and a 1-800 number that, when called, delivered the following message:

“Can you imagine the world without the internet?  Phones practically useless.  Computers reduced to storage devices for photos and aging MP3s.  Well, have no fear.  Hard has set up this emergency number to get you vital Hard Fest information via hotline free from the net.”

But that was then.  Now the site is brimming with information.  Tickets to the 18+ event go on sale April 29.

Happening July 15-17 at Louisville Waterfront Park in Louisville, Ky., has revealed its featuring RJD2, Robert DeLong, Dr. Dog, and The 23 String Band.

Doors open at 11 p.m. for all shows.  Here’s the breakdown:
