The Psychedelic Furs / The Church In 2016

Trailing last year’s sold out spree, The Psychedelic Furs and The Church are teaming up again for a U.S. outing that includes stops in Las Vegas, San Diego, Seattle and Salt Lake City.

The Psychedelic Furs formed in the U.K. in 1977.  The band spawned numerous hits with “Love My Way,” “Heartbreak Beat,” “The Ghost In You” and “Pretty In Pink.” The group took a hiatus in the ‘90s and are back with the current lineup consisting of Richard Butler (vocals), Tim Butler (bass), Rich Good (guitar), Mars Williams (saxophone), Amanda Kramer (keyboards), and Paul Garisto (drums).

Hailing from Australia, The Church made its mark in the U.S. with singles “Under The Milky Way,” “Reptile” and “Metropolis.” The band released their 25th studio album Further/Deeper last year and played at SXSW. The Church also went on its first European tour in eight years in addition to its two North American outings.

“Sometimes rock ‘n’ roll has really good double bills where there are two likeminded acts and the audience can go away very happy they got their moneys worth,” The Church’s Steve Kilbey said. “This is how it is with The Church and Psychedelic Furs I believe; and because the last lot of shows went so well we couldn’t help but want to keep it going.”
