Aerosmith Locks In For Kaaboo, Brazil
The Brazil shows hit three different cities, with Porto Alegre, Sao Paulo and Recife all hosting the Bad Boys of Boston.
Several members of Aerosmith previously indicated that 2017 might be the year of its “farewell” tour, as they all grow older and it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain the original membership. Frontman Steven Tyler will spend May until August performing his solo work and guitarist Joe Perry kicks off a tour with Hollywood Vampires in May.
Tyler also hinted in an interview with Rolling Stone that the band might consider recording a final album for 2017.
“We’re probably doing a farewell tour. Look, there’s two bands that still have the original members, us and the Stones,” Tyler said. “I’m grateful for that. Whether we do a farewell tour or go into the studio and do another record, I’m just excited about it.”
Attendees at Kaabo will not only get what may be a rare chance to see Aerosmith however, as the super-festival recently announced the majority of its musical performances. Beyond the headliners, Lenny Kravitz, Daryl Hall and John Oates, The Avett Brothers, OneRepublic, the Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, Flo Rida, Gavin DeGraw, Ludacris, Cypress Hill, Gregg Allman, Steel Pulse and The Struts will all take the stage.
Kaaboo blends musical, comedic, artistic and culinary excellence over a three day weekend, Sept. 16-18 this year, in Del Mar, Calif. This year the festival’s comedians include Dana Carvey, several members of the cast of HBO’s Silicon Valley, Darrell Hammond, Jeff Ross, Janeane Garofalo, Doug Benson, Brian Posehn, Natasha Leggero and Puddles Pity Party. The variety comes with a price tag though, as the most basic 3-day pass is selling for $249 at KaabooDelMar.com, with many options to upgrade your experience.
Here are the 2016 dates Aerosmith is set to appear:

Oct. 11 — Porto Alegre, Brazil, Estádio Beira-Rio
