North Carolina University Expands
A university in High Point, N.C., has announced plans for campus expansion. The development project includes an arena, conference center and hotel.

High Point University reportedly will spend $70 million on the arena, which replaces the 1,600-capacity Miller Center with a 5,000-seat basketball arena equipped with suites, hospitality area and merchandising area, according to the High Point Enterprise.
The site reports a 2,500-seat conference center and an executive hotel plus a new sciences facility and residence hall will also be added. The total expansion is estimated to cost $160 million and construction will begin during the 2018-2019 academic year.
