The newly announced shows are in Queens, N.Y. at  and the  in Los Angeles. At the Forest Hills show Morrison will be accompanied by his daughter Shana, while  will be performing alongside Van the Man in LA.

Van already had announced two more California shows in October, so the 70 year old will be giving Golden State residents plenty of chances to see him. He also has a number of festivals and solo shows lined up in Europe throughout the summer.

A remastered version of his 1973 live album will come out June 10, as will three more discs of live performances from the same tour and a DVD, to be called It’s Too Late to Stop Now… Volumes II, III, IV & DVD.

The Northern Ireland native was honored with Knighthood Feb. 4 for his contributions to music and tourism in Northern Ireland. An article from the BBC said Sir Van has always preferred smaller, more intimate venues to the larger gigs.

“I enjoy that the most – playing a small club – that’s really what I do,” he said in the BBC article. “The bigger places you have to do for financial survival reasons, let me put it that way, but the bigger places enable me to play small clubs occasionally.”
