Ugly Kid Joe Makes Fall Tour Plans

After splitting up in 1997 and reuniting in 2010, the group released Uglier Than They Use ta Be in fall 2015 as the follow-up to its third studio album, Motel California.

Blabbermouth’s 8/10 review declares, “The good news is that this is a rock solid, mostly pleasurable poke at themselves while carrying a weighty penance for past debaucheries. Even better, Motörhead’s Phil Campbell drops by to join the party.”

The current lineup features founding members Whitfield Crane on vocals on Klaus Eichstadt on guitar, along with Dave Fortman on guitar, Cordell Crockett on bass, and Shannon Larkin on drums – who have been with the band since the early ‘90s. Guitarist Sonny Mayo and drummer Zac Morris, who have played live with Ugly Kid Joe since 2012, also contributed to the new album.

The European tour boasts more than 30 dates, starting with an Oct. 1 gig in Glasgow, Scotland. A post on the band’s Facebook page promises that “Ireland will be announced shortly.” Here’s how the itinerary stands today:
