Alice In Chains Announces U.S. Summer Excursion

On Friday Alice In Chains posed a question to fans via social media with a simple graphic asking, “Is it summer yet?” and a caption inquiring, “What are your plans?” It turns out the band’s plan is to hit the road in July on a U.S. tour.

The new headline dates go along with previously announced festival appearances including Rock Fest in Cadott, Wis. (July 15); Rock USA in Oshkosh, Wis. (July 16); and Rock Allegiance Festival in Chester, Pa. (Sept. 17).

Fans are waiting on the follow-up to the band’s fifth studio album, 2013’s The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here. Bassist Mike Inez told Memphis’ ROCK 103 (via Ultimate-Guitar.com) last August that the guys had “been throwing around riffs for a new record.”
