TITP Making Good With Locals
The T in the Park community trust fund has raised £19,000 to support community groups and local charities around Strathallan Castle Estate in Perthshire, Scotland, where the festival is taking place July 8-10.
Home Start Perth, for example, which provides parenting support, received £2,000. All in all, 19 grassroots organizations received funding, including the Auchterarder Community Sports Association and the Blackford Fiddle Group.
TITP has a history of supporting local causes. Continuing in this spirit will help rectify the strained relationship between the festival’s organizer DF Concerts and the Perth and Kinross community.
