Exclusive: Yonder Mountain String Band ‘Live At 9:30’

“Live At 9:30,” is the new public television program featuring awesome performances from Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club.  Here’s an exclusive taste of what to expect – Yonder Mountain String Band’s stellar rendition of “You’re No Good.”

There’s a lot to love about “Live At 9:30.”   Hosted By Squarespace and utilizing more than 12 cameras, the show is a fast moving hour of music and interviews.  The first three episodes are packed with performances by Garbage, The Arcs, Tove Lo, Ibeyi, El Vy, MisterWives, The Jesus And Mary Chain, Frank Turner, MS MR, Cold War Kids, Youth Lagoon and Jess Glynn.  Contributors and hosts include such notables as punk icon Henry Rollins, NPR Music’s Bob Boilen, author/actress Jill Kargman, and comedians Hannibal Buress and Ralphie May.

“Live At 9:30” is accepting submissions for its segment featuring independent films. “180 At 9:30” is a series of short flicks on music-related subjects.  Films can be animation, documentaries, biopics, even fiction.  However, the finished work must be exactly three minutes in length.  Are you up for the challenge?
