Loreena McKennitt’s Long Awaited Return

Loreena McKennitt returns to the U.S. for a 22-city trek throughout the South and Midwest. The outing includes stops in Chicago, St. Louis, Atlanta and Cincinnati.

The tour titled “A Trio Performance” features McKennitt performing with guitarist Brian Hughes and cellist Caroline Lavelle. The show highlights music and stories from the Canadian native’s journey around the world tracking Celtic history.

A limited edition of her 1991 album, The Visit, will be released on vinyl June 24 via her own label Quinlin Road. The LP won the Juno Award for Best Traditional/Roots Album and sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide.

“Autumn is such a lovely time to tour,” McKennitt said. “And it’s been nine years since we’ve been to these parts of the United States so we’re looking forward to reconnecting with people and places in a very personal way.”
