Riot Fest Reveals Chicago, Denver Lineups
Following last week’s announcement that Riot Fest will host a reunion by the original Misfits, organizers let loose today with an almost endless list of acts for Denver and Chicago, including Morrissey, Ween, Death Cab For Cutie, Rob Zombie, Deftones and more.

Denver’s Riot Fest & Rodeo is set for the National Western Complex Sept. 2-4 and Chicago’s Riot Fest & Carnival is planned for Douglas Park Sept. 16-18. Each event will host the return of the original Misfits (Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only and Wolfgang Von Frankenstein), but we’re only brushing the surface of the Riot Fest universe.
The ultra-long list of acts appearing on both events includes Ween, Death Cab For Cutie, Nas, Deftones, Descendents, Fitz And The Tantrums, Meat Puppets, Motion City Soundtrack, The Hold Steady and others.
Jane’s Addiction, Sleater-Kinney, Wolf Parade, Yo La Tengo, Flatbush Zombies, The Dandy Warhols, and Tyler, The Creator are among the acts exclusive to Denver, while Morrissey, Social Distortion, Rob Zombie, Brand New, The Specials, Refused, Death Grips, Bob Mould, Girls Against Boys, Jimmy Eat World, and The Hives are just a few of the acts appearing only at the Chicago extravaganza.
Complete album performances are among the highlights planned for Denver and Chicago. Social Distortion will perform White Light, White Heat White Trash on the Sept. 17, marking the 20th anniversary of the LP’s release. Jane’s Addiction will perform Ritual De Lo Habitual, Rob Zombie will play White Zombie’s Astro-Creep: 2000 and The Hold Steady will perform Boys And Girls In America.
