Andrew Bird Wings His Way Around U.S.

The tour includes 23 dates throughout the U.S. and features shows on both coasts. The first stop is Seattle, Wash. at Bumbershoot Festival and the last performance will be on Oct. 15 in Providence, R.I. at the Columbus Theater.

Before the fall tour, Bird has three shows coming up in Canada and the U.S. with John Grant. He will also perform at Festival Palomino in Shakopee, Minn. Sept. 17, and at Austin City Limits Music Festival Sept. 30-Oct. 2.

The violinist/composer/singer has been bringing complex musicianship and songwriting to the masses since his days with swing band Squirrel Nut Zippers in the ’90s. He has performed his unique brand of indie-folk-pop in a broad spectrum of scenarios, from Columbus Theater to the children’s television program “Jack’s Big Music Show.”

The first leg of his Are You Serious tour raised over $25,000 with Everytown for Gun Safety, according to a press release.
