Dion Lunadon Has His Own Dates To Play

New York, Detroit and Chicago will host Dion Lunadon when the bassist for A Place To Bury Strangers ventures out to promote his own music.

Lunadon recorded his Com/Broke while A Place To Bury Strangers was enjoying some down time.  He premiered the video for B-side “1976” via Brooklyn Vegan.

Com/Broke is about being anti-what’s expected of someone entering their mid-life,” Lunadon said.  “Most people mellow out, but I don’t want that.  I want to create music that is even more ugly and more real.  Lyrically, it’s from the perspective of me being resigned to giving up and essentially giving in.  Negative.”

Lunadon’s live dates make up a short list of appearances for the former D4 member.  Here’s the plan:

May 29 – New York, N.Y., Mercury Lounge (with Ex-Cult)
June 10 – Detroit, Mich., El Club
June 11 – Chicago, Ill., Empty Bottle (with Cheap Girls)
June 12 – Chicago, Ill., Logan Square ()
