Love From Cass McCombs

Cass McCombs penned his latest album during a bitter New York City winter and while traveling in Ireland. With the release date of the LP approaching in just a few months, he’s ready to do some more traveling to show off the new tunes.

Marking his eighth full-length effort, Mangy Love is due out Aug. 26 via ANTI. The singer/songwriter’s PR rep calls the LP “McCombs at his most blunt: tackling sociopolitical issues through his uniquely cracked lens of lyrical wit and singular insight.”

The music takes listeners on a journey through “Philly soul, Norcal psychedelia and New York paranoia,” with several songs showcasing McCombs’ hip-hop and beat poetry influences.

All iTunes pre-orders come with an instant grat download of the single “Opposite House.” Check out the tune below.
