Cold War Kids Reveal Autumn Plans

Los Angeles, Tempe, Seattle, Missoula and Portland, Ore., are on the list of cities for Cold War Kids’ fall tour, launching in Oakland Sept. 20.

Nathan Willett, Matt Maust, Joe Plummer, Matthew Schwartz and David Quon are working on the follow-up to the band’s fifth studio album, Hold My Love, released in October 2014. Meanwhile, the band found time to post a new video on Facebook featuring Willett performing the new song “Love Is Mystical.”   The vid also includes the band’s newly announced gigs.

Festivals make up Cold War Kids’ spring and summer plans.  The band plays Northern California’s May 27; in Aurora, Ill., June 4 and in New York June 5.  Other festival stops include in Camden, N.J.; in Columbia, Md.; and in Fort Smith, Ark., July 30. 

The first week of the band’s fall tour includes a performance at the in Las Vegas Sept. 24, as well as a gig at in October.

Sept. 23 – Hollywood, Calif., Hollywood Palladium
Sept. 24 – Las Vegas, Nev., Las Vegas Village (iHeartRadio Music Festival)
Sept. 26 – Flagstaff, Ariz., The Orpheum Theater
Sept. 27 – Tempe, Ariz., The Marquee
Oct. 7-9 Austin, Texas, Austin City Limits Music Festival (performance date/dates TBA)
Oct. 12 – Missoula, Mont., The Wilma
Oct. 14 – Seattle, Wash., Showbox SoDo
Oct. 15 – Portland, Ore., McMenamins Crystal Ballroom
