HoB Anaheim Relocating
House of Blues Anaheim is trading its Downtown Disney digs for a larger space one block east of Disneyland in the Anaheim GardenWalk.
The venue leaves its location of the last 15 years after a May 29 show, and will open the new 40,000 square-foot facility on Katella Avenue in November.
“We’re excited about the future, but bittersweet about the past,” Ron Bension, president of House of Blues Entertainment, told the Orange County Register.
“We had a great run on the Disney property, but we’re really excited about having this new venue coming on board in a few months that will incorporate everything we’ve learned over the last 15 years in Orange County and everything we’ve learned as a company over the last 25 years.”
The main concert hall at the new location will have 2,200 seats and two smaller rooms, including a Foundation Room, for other acts and private functions.
Bension said HOB is incorporating feedback regarding the previous venue, specifically making sure the main stage is visible from all vantage points.
