Atlas Genius & Bear Hands Team Up

U.S. indie rock fans will be treated to a co-bill tour joining bands from opposite sides of the globe when Adelaide’s Atlas Genius and Brooklyn’s Bear Hands hit the road in July.

The outing launches in Lexington, Ky., July 18 and concludes with five nights in California, including a stop in Pollstar’s hometown. Along the way the guys will stop in Des Moines, Omaha, Albuquerque and Phoenix.

Ahead of the co-headline excursion, Atlas Genius has a few nights booked with Weezer and Panic! At The Disco, along with a bunch of festival appearances including this weekend’s BottleRock Napa Valley and Firefly Music Festival. The band’s festival escapades continue in September with Bumbershoot, Life Is Beautiful and Austin City Limits.

Atlas Genius is supporting its sophomore album, 2015’s Inanimate Objects.

Bear Hands has plenty of festival gigs of its own to play, as well as a run of June dates with Silversun Pickups. The four-piece band put out its third album, You’ll Pay for This, in April.
