Hubbard Leaves Twitter

Hubbard ran the commerce team at Twitter. He was joined in his exit by Jana Messerschmidt, who was in charge of global business, according to the Wall Street Journal. Their positions will be consolidated and taken over by Ali Jafari, the head of revenue in business development, a source told the paper.
The resignations come as fewer people take stock in the company, literally. TWTR stock has dropped to about $15 from $37 a year ago and MoffettNathanson analyst Michael Nathanson recently downgraded it to “sell” with the memorable line “Hope is not a strategy.”
Hubbard headed up TM when it merged with Live Nation in 2010 and left the company in 2013. He joined Live Nation in 2006 when it acquired Musictoday, where Hubbard also served as CEO.
