Manowar Announces ‘Final Battle World Tour’
“The Gods And Kings Tour was a groundbreaking moment in our career: The stage, sound, video and you, our fans, were magnificent! Coming off such an amazing tour it was clear that the next time we must go even bigger and beyond anything we have ever done; something that will fulfill every Manowarrior’s dreams. Then that will be the ultimate moment to say thank you and farewell!” the band said in a joint statement.
Since forming in 1980 in New York Manowar has released a dozen studio albums, picking up numerous gold and platinum awards along the way. Plus, the band put out a re-recording of 1998’s Kings Of Metal in 2014 that’s called Kings of Metal MMXIV.
In addition to completing more than 35 tours, including venues as large as 50,000-seaters, Manowar also established its own music festival that attracted fans from more than 40 countries. How hard does the band rock? Manowar proved its loyalty to metal by singing a contract in blood.
The band promises its final tour will be “a once-in-a-lifetime experience for any true metal fan,” thanks to a set that’s more than two hours long and packed with its greatest hits.
“We will march to the Final Battle as we have done throughout our entire career: Giving EVERYTHING for our fans! The victory is ours but the glory belongs to our legion of Fans!” Joey DeMaio said.
