SMG To Take Over Ontario Arena

Currently run by AEG Facilities, the arena will have the same operator as the adjacent Ontario Convention Center, as reported by the Press Enterprise.

AEG has operated the facility since its 2008 opening. The city of Ontario and AEG have agreed to go their separate ways, effective July 1, AEG spokesman Michael Roth said in a statement.

AEG owns the Ontario Reign AHL hockey team and is releasing its arena responsibilities to focus efforts on the team. The 11,000-capacity venue has staged concerts by Elton John, Eagles, Metallica and Citizens Business Bank Arena.
