Vivendi To Buy SFX Ticketing Division

Vivendi Ticketing U.S. was named the successful bidder of a June-2-3 auction for Flavorus, the ticketing company SFX bought two years ago for $17 million. SFX said it does not want to hold Flavorus after its restructuring; the company wants to wipe out $300 million in debt and take itself private.
Vivendi’s See Group and Digitick have handled ticketing for SFX events, nightclubs and food events as well as notable events like the Ryder Cup.
This is the second sale of an SFX asset to Vivendi, which owns Universal Music Group. In May, Universal purchased the Fame House marketing agency for $1 million.
