‘Whispers’ Of Corinne Bailey Rae Touring

Along with festival gigs in California and Colorado plus appearances on the Alabama Shakes tour, Corinne Bailey Rae has locked down a few U.S. headlining shows.  Destinations include Brooklyn, Boston, Philadelphia and D.C.

Touring in support of her latest album, The Heart Speaks In Whispers, Bailey Rae is keeping very busy through the summer months.  Following this week’s shows at Los Angeles’ Lyric Theatre, the British singer/songwriter returns to the United Kingdom where she’ll appear on Lionel Richie’s tour. Bailey Rae will also stop at and guests on Stevie Wonder’s July 10 show at London’s Hyde Park.

Previously announced festival stops on Bailey Rae’s U.S. run include in Dana Point, Calif., Aug. 28 and the planned for Sept. 4 in the Colorado ski town.  The Alabama Shakes’ dates are also in September and include Tallahassee, Austin and New Orleans.

Recorded on both sides of the Pond, The Heart Speaks In Whispers was co-produced by Bailey Rae and Steve Brown, her collaborator on 2010’s The Sea. Vibe’s Shenequa Golding described the new disc as a “full circle” moment for Bailey Rae.

“The emotions and vulnerabilities explored on the 16-track record creep up on you like one of those ‘girly’ drinks at that bar that you somehow forget has an extra shot of Jameson,” wrote Golding.
