NME reported that Gillespie slipped and fell off the stage during  in Switzerland June 2, and was carted away to a hospital with “minor injuries.”

It now seems that the singer will need his rest, and a number of upcoming shows have been cancelled as a result.

Here are the axed dates:

June 17 – Victoria, Spain, Azkena Rock Festival Grounds (Azkena Rock Festival)
June 25 – Donegal, Ireland, Bundoran Beach (Sea Sessions Donegal)
July 2 – Cluses, France, Musiques En Stock Festival Grounds (Musiques En Stock)
July 15 – Sawley, England, Beat Herder Festival Grounds (Beat Herder Festival)
July 18 – Rome, Italy, Ippodromo Le Capannelle (Rock in Roma)
July 19 – Cesena, Italy, La Rocca Malatestiana (Acieloaperto Festival)
July 20 – Sestri Levante, Italy, Ee Convento Dell Annunziata (Mojotic Festival)
Jul 22 – Huntingdon, England, Secret Garden Party Festival Grounds (Secret Garden Party)
July 27 – Gothenburg, Sweden, Lisberg

Most of these cancelled gigs are festival appearances, so those shows will go on.

The band’s next scheduled performance is currently locked in for Aug. 11 in Glasgow, Scotland. The group also has two North American dates lined up in Toronto and Los Angeles in November.

On Tuesday, the band posted a photo on Facebook of its frontman lying down strapped into an airplane, with a backbrace under the caption “FEEL LIKE GOING HOME.”

The band’s official website and its Facebook and Twitter pages are good places to look for more info.
