Abate Joins MSG

Hank Abate, former senior VP of Spectra Venue Management, has been named executive VP of venue management for Madison Square Garden Company.

Abate, who begins his new role June 20, will direct all operations of MSG’s portfolio for Madison Square Garden, The Theatre at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, The Beacon Theatre, the Forum in California and the Chicago Theatre.

He will have daily oversight of financial and operational matters and be responsible for developing and maintaining key relationships.

Abate, who has 30 years of experience in venue management, will report to MSG President David O’Connor.
