Failure Celebrates ‘Fantastic Planet’

It’s been two decades since Failure released its third studio album, “Fantastic Planet.” In honor of the anniversary, the alternative rock band will be performing the LP in its entirety at intimate clubs across the country.

Failure is based out of Los Angeles and formed in the early nineties. After a 17-year hiatus the band regrouped in 2014 and released The Heart Is A Monster in 2015. The current lineup features Ken Andrews, Greg Edwards and Kellii Scott.

The 17-track Fantastic Planet received praise from critics, including a five-star review from Alternative Press that declared the album was able “to breathe life into the corpse of contemporary, guitar-driven rock.”

“As much as we were trying to create a new and unique sound with Fantastic Planet, it’s also an homage to the pioneers of the Long-Play format,” Andrews said. “In the age of streaming playlists, it’s comforting for us to know that others share our love for the Album as art form.”
