Lake Street Dive Jumps Into Tour

After performing at the White House earlier this week, Lake Street Dive is preparing for North American tour dates in September and October.

The upcoming run includes 19 North American gigs, starting Sept. 15 in Nashville, Tenn., at the historic . The itinerary concludes with a pair of shows at Union Transfer in Philadelphia Oct. 11-12.

Two Ontario shows are festival appearances, one at  Sept. 17 and also  Sept. 18 in Ottawa.

There are no West Coast shows on the new tour, but the former Hotstar is doing a three-night series with 

The upcoming run includes 19 North American gigs, starting Sept. 15 in Nashville, Tenn., at the historic  in Quincy, Wash., at Gorge Amphitheatre Sept. 2-4. The group is also running around the Southern U.S. for the rest of June and has a lot of other shows in August.

Lake Street Dive formed in 2004 and got its start after its bassist Bridget Kearney won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. In February, the band released Side Pony, its first album with its new record label Nonesuch Records.
