Pittsburgh’s Altar Bar Closing

Altar Bar, the 650-capacity former church in Pittsburgh, is closing after 10 years because its owner plans to sell the building.

Mike Pitterich said the sale will help him open a new steel mill in Valparaiso, Ind. The last show, with I Prevail, will be July 31.

Shows, booked through the rest of 2016, will be moved to other venues served by Drusky Entertainment, Altar Bar’s exclusive promoter.
