LODEV, an IT company in South Korea, has launched a new ticketing service that makes it easy for smartphone users to purchase concert tickets.

The service, which is called TicketBox6, does not require pre-registration and does not charge extra fees for purchasing tickets. Using the service, anyone can make reservations for shows or buy tickets. At present, online ticket services in Korea require pre-registration and then buyers still have to pick up their tickets elsewhere.

But TicketBox6 does away with most of the hassle. Users simply buy tickets using the service’s payment system and go to the concert. TicketBox6 is already used for buying tickets for movies, which is a big market in South Korea.

LODEV has simply expanded the service to cover concert and theatrical tickets thanks to the collaboration of concert promoters and producers, who can also use the service as a marketing tool since it collects data as it is being used.

The related app delivers campaigns, events, early bird specials and sales information to anyone who installs it, and then analyzes users for market research purposes. TicketBox6 can be installed in any smart device and uses a fast memory DB system, which means the response time is almost instantaneous.
