Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith released a joint statement in May saying, “It’s with great disappointment that we have to postpone our US summer dates due to unforeseen and unhappy circumstances. We thank our fans for their understanding and hope to get back on the road soon.”

Following a few performances in the band’s native U.K. in July, Tears For Fears will be back on the road in the U.S. in September.

In the meantime, the pop rock / New wave group is working on its new album due out in 2017 on Warner Bros. Records. Fans are eagerly awaiting the LP, which will mark Tears For Fears’ first studio album since 2004’s Everybody Loves a Happy Ending.

An announcement released this week notes that the band “rescheduled as many tour dates in the fall as possible.” Tickets purchased for the original shows will be honored for the new dates. If your city is not on the list or you can’t make the new date, refunds will be available at point of purchase.
