The Who Adds Santa Barbara Date

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend are spending a lot of time in California this year. Having just completed a U.S. tour that included five concerts in the Golden State, The Who has added a Santa Barbara date in addition to the band’s two “Desert Trip” weekends.

The Oct. 6 gig at the Santa Barbara Bowl takes place three days before The Who’s first weekend at “Desert Trip,” the classic-rock extravaganza planned for the Empire Polo Club in Indio Oct. 7-9 and Oct. 14-16. As with the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, which also calls the Empire Polo Club its home, Desert Trip features the same lineup both weekends. The event’s lineup also includes The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, and Roger Waters.

With special guest Tal Wilkenfeld also on the ticket, the general onsale for The Who’s Santa Barbara show launches June 26 at 11 a.m. PDT. Check out TheWho.com for more details.
