Simple Plan Takes One For The Team

Simple Plan reveals the U.S. leg of its global headline run. The “Taking One For The Team Tour” launches Oct. 4 in Santa Ana, Calif. Special guests Hit The Lights and Story Untold support all new dates.

French-Canadian Simple Plan dropped its fifth studio album, Taking One For The Team, this year. Singles include “Singing In The Rain” and “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed (feat. Nelly).” The group made Alternative Press’ list of “The 10 Most Influential Bands of Pop Punk.”

Simple Plan is Pierre Bouvier (vocals), Chuck Comeau (drums), David Desrosiers (bass/backing vocals), Sebastian Lefebvre (guitar/backing vocals) and Jeff Stinco (lead guitar). In addition to creating music, the group founded the Simple Plan Foundation in 2005, which supports “social and medical organizations dedicated to helping young people in need.” SPF has raised more than $1.5 million in donations.

“We are super excited to finally come back and play shows in the U.S. after all these years,” the band said in a statement. “It’s been way too long since our last American tour and we couldn’t be more pumped to play all these amazing cities and venues, hang out with all our fans and share the stage with Hit The Lights and Untold Story. We look forward to seeing you all at the shows! It’s gonna be a blast!”
