Widespread Panic Get Away

Widespread Panic is ready for a tropical vacation and everyone is invited. The sixth edition of “Panic en la Playa” returns to Riviera Maya, Mexico in February. Special guests Orgone, Southern Soul Assembly, Bloodkin, and Playa All-Stars join the band’s getaway.

The excursion takes place Feb. 27-March 3, 2017 at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. This year marks Widespread Panic’s 30th anniversary and the group announced they will be taking a break from their regularly heavy tour schedule next year and wanted to give fans a chance to experience some live performances beforehand.

The retreat includes “artist-hosted activities, workshops, poolside games, a poker tournament, daily yoga, and theme nights.” Positive Legacy will be partnering again with “Panic en la Playa.” The charitable organization encourages both fans and artists to “participate in a day service and cultural connection in the local community as a way of giving back.” An auction and donation drive will also be featured.
