Anderson, Rabin & Wakeman In The U.K.

Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman look ahead to next year and a March run across the U.K.  Launching the adventure in Wales, the prog-rock heroes have also scheduled shows for Scotland and England.

Yes is the musical thread binding the three musicians.  Anderson and bassist Chris Squire founded the band in the late ’60s and welcomed keyboardist Wakeman to the fold just as the sessions for the Fragile album were about to begin.  Guitarist Rabin joined in time for the band’s 1983 comeback album, 90125, which featured the hit single “Owner Of A Lonely Heart.”

But with Yes sporting various lineups through the years, it wasn’t until the band’s 1990 “Reunion” tour when all three musicians performed together along with past and then-current members.

“After 18 years of immersing myself in film scoring, I couldn’t be happier to be going out on tour with Jon and Rick,” Rabin said.  “After we worked together for the first time on the Union tour in the ’90s, we were determined to play together again.  It’s a dream to be going out with Jon and Rick after so many years.  We are all completely dedicated to this project.”

The three progressive rock vets are also working on new music as they merge the two eras of Yes represented by the trio.  Last month the group announced its 2016 tour of the U.S.
