Twiztid Lines Up Terrifying Tour

The rap-rock duo Twiztid is up to its old tricks, with a run of fall dates planned across the U.S. for the “Spooktacular Horror Show.”

Joining the creepy clowns will be Mac Lethal, Zodiac Mprint, Lex The Hex Master, Menace 2 Sobriety, and Godz of Kaos.

The tour starts in Minneapolis, Sept. 28, and has shows booked for most nights until it concludes on Halloween at Fright Fest in Sauget, Ill.

Prior to the fall tour, there are three shows planned in Indiana June 23-25. The June 25 appearance will be at the Days of the Dead Horror Convention and includes an autograph signing.

The band fits into the horrorcore brand of music with facepaint and dark imagery, distinguishing itself with lyrics a bit more difficult to deliver than the simpler rhymes of Insane Clown Posse. Twiztid pays homage to the genre heavyweights though, identifying as “Juggalos” in the 2007 single “Raw Deal (Juggalo Song).”

The band has recently gotten the rights to its 2003 album, The Green Book, and is rereleasing the album Aug. 19. The group describes Book as its “most requested out of print album,” which includes collaborations with Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J of Insane Clown Posse, E-40Tech N9neLayzie Bone, and Bushwick Bill of Geto Boys.
