ARW Reveals Band Lineup
The group’s name represents decades of Yes history. Jon Anderson co-founded the pioneering progressive band with Chris Squire during the late ’60s, and the group welcomed keyboardist Rick Wakeman to the fold just as the sessions for the groundbreaking Fragile album were about to begin. Guitarist/singer Trevor Rabin entered the picture during mid 1980s when Squire, Yes drummer Alan White and original Yes keyboardist Tony Kaye were planning to launch Cinema, a project that turned into a brand new Yes when Anderson joined the group, and resulted in the album 90125 along with the hit single “Owner Of A Lonely Heart.”
Having announced the tour in May, Anderson, Rabin & Wakeman revealed this week who will be helping the three former Yes-men during the fall tour.
First up is bassist Lee Pomeroy, who has recorded, toured and performed with many acts, including Jeff Lynne’s ELO, Take That, Genesis vet Steve Hackett and Wakeman, who calls him one of the best three bassists he’s ever played with, the other two being Chris Squire and John Entwistle.
Playing drums on the tour will be Louis Molino III. An original member of Cock Robin, Molino has recorded and/or toured with Trevor Rabin, Julian Lennon, Kim Mitchell, Kenny Loggins, Roger Hodgson and The Tubes. His music can be found on the soundtracks of such films as “Training Day,” “Con Air,” “Armageddon” and “Gone In Sixty Seconds” as well as on TV shows like “Zero Hour” and “12 Monkeys.”
Gary Cambra brings his multi-instrumentalist skills to the tour. Cambra’s musical resume includes 20 years of producing The Tubes as well as playing keyboards and guitars for that band. He has also toured as a session musician for Stephen Bishop, Jefferson Starship and others.
