Garth Brooks Gets Sirius

Fans who have been waiting for a radio station that plays nothing but Garth Brooks 24/7, your wish has come true. The country-pop legend launches a dedicated SiriusXM station Sept. 8.

The channel will feature recordings from throughout Brooks’ career, special guest DJs and commentary from the man himself.

“It’s rare to be handed an opportunity that can grow as big as you can dream,” Brooks said in a press release. “That is exactly what SiriusXM has just done.”

Brooks’ music is notoriously difficult to get for free, as his catalogue is withheld from Spotify and Apple Music. The Las Vegas Review Journal reported that the launch of this station could be the first step towards eventually securing a streaming deal.

Garth is on the road through July, with two-night stands scheduled at Yankee Stadium in New York and the AT&T Center in San Antonio, and a gig at the CenturyLink Center Bossier City, La.
