Alessia Cara Is That Girl

The new dates run from Sept. 29 to Oct. 29, starting in Silver Spring, Md., running west and then back eastward, ending in in Orlando. Some notable venues Cara will be headlining include Nashville’s Ryman AuditoriumFillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach, Fla., Orpheum Theatre in Boston and the Chicago Theatre.

Prior to the headline tour Cara will be opening for Coldplay through July and August. The songstress just finished the European leg with Chris Martin and the guys and she is set to perform at Chicago Theatre later this month.

The new video is for the track “Scars To Your Beautiful” off her 2015 LP Know-It- All.

“Scars” will be at the center of a campaign with I Am That Girl, a nonprofit organization focused on the national conversation around body-image. Cara and IATG will collaborate on live events and an educational curriculum dealing with body image and self-esteem. Alessia will also be visiting and performing at pediatric hospitals during her headline tour.

Cara burst onto the music scene in 2015 with her single “Here,” released through Def Jam. She is of Italian descent, speaks the language fluently, and grew up in Canada.
