The “Limerent Death” tour starts Aug. 5 in Toronto and is essentially a run on the two coasts. The band rumbles through the Northeast until Aug. 10 in Philadelphia, after which it jaunts over for four shows in California. The run wraps up in Santa Ana Aug. 16. There is also a festival appearance set at  Aug. 6.

For those who are curious, “limerence” usually is used to mean deep romantic attraction.

The rooms the band is playing are relatively small, which means its equipment will probably be able to fill the venue with bone-crushing sound, so diehard fans, you won’t want to miss this.

Dillinger hasn’t released an album since 2013’s One of Us is the Killer and the band has been through a number of lineup changes since it was founded almost 20 years ago. Guitarist Ben Weinman said in an interview with The Rock Pit that a new album is in the works and the group was set to record in November of last year.

Here is the routing for “Limerent Death”:

Aug. 5 – Toronto, Ontario, Hard Luck Bar
Aug. 6 – Montreal, Quebec, Parc Jean Drapeau (Heavy Montreal)
Aug. 7 – Allston, Mass., Great Scott
Aug. 8 – Brooklyn, N.Y., Rough Trade
Aug. 9 – Washington, DC, DC9
Aug. 10 – Philadelphia, Pa., Kung Fu Necktie
Aug. 13 – San Francisco, Calif., Thee Parkside
Aug. 14 – San Diego, Calif., The Casbah
Aug. 15 – Los Angeles, Calif., The Hi Hat
Aug. 16 – Santa Ana, Calif., Constellation Room @ The Observatory

Your best bet for tickets is to check with the venues. Those that list the event have tickets going on sale July 15. Check dillingerescapeplan.org or the band’s Facebook for the latest updates.
